The Group Owner is the person who registers a group on Areyoulocal.co.uk.

The Group Owner has special privileges to allow him or her to manage the group, including:

• Appointing Group Moderators to help run the group online
• Managing the membership
• Acting as editor for articles submitted by group members
• Compiling a group newsletter
