The objects of the Association are :
- to protect and enhance the character and amenity of the districts of Raynes Park and West Barnes, with the aim of improving the quality of life of their residents
- to foster a spirit of good fellowship among the residents of these districts in pursuit of service to the community
- to produce a periodical magazine to inform the members about the activities of the Association.

The area covered by the Association consists of the whole of the West Barnes ward of the London Borough of Merton, the part of Raynes Park ward south of Coombe Lane, and a small part of Cannon Hill ward (Southway and the lower parts of Parkway and Elm Walk).

Meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month (not August), starting at 8 p.m., in the clubhouse of the Raynes Park Residents' Lawn Tennis Club at 129, Grand Drive (opposite Oakway). The A.G.M. in March and the meetings in June, September and December are open to all members of the Association, while the others are normally for committee members only, though Special General Meetings may be called at other times if necessary.

Annual membership costs £2.50 per household. Members receive a copy of the Association's newsletter, "The Guide", every month. You may find that joining the Association saves you money on your household insurance, as the Association is recognized by the police as a Neighbourhood Watch scheme.
